DMCA agent registration in progress. Sonoeasy has applied to register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. Registration will be completed before public launch.
Copyright takedown contact
If you believe a clip on Sonoeasy contains material you own the copyright to, send a takedown notice to dmca@sonoeasy.com.
What to include
A valid notice must contain all six of the following:
Your physical or electronic signature, or that of someone authorized to act on your behalf.
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
Identification of the clip on this service, sufficient to locate it — the clip URL or clip ID is best.
Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Response timing
Notices received at the address above are reviewed within 24 hours. Valid notices result in the clip being removed from public access.
Counter-notice
If a clip you contributed was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include all four of the following:
Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the removed clip and where it appeared before it was removed.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the clip was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, and phone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where we may be found); and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the clip in 10 to 14 business days, unless the person who filed the original notice takes legal action to keep it down.
Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
No designated agent (interim)
Sonoeasy's designated-agent USCO registration is in progress. Until registration is complete, the service does not claim DMCA safe harbor under 17 U.S.C. § 512. The takedown process above is provided as a good-faith mechanism for resolving copyright concerns.
